If you need to increase the file upload size of your website, you need to set the upload_max_filesize and max_execution_time in .htaccess or php.ini from FTP.

Open the .htaccess from FTP and enter:

php_value upload_max_filesize 30M

php_value max_execution_time 600

This will increase the file size you can upload via your websites front end.

If the .htaccess does not work you will need to update the php.ini file

Usually following may need to be updated besides the minimum lines above:

php_value upload_max_filesize 30M

php_value post_max_size 20M

php_value memory_limit 20M

php_value max_execution_time 600
