1. Log in into your control panel or web panel

2. Create a FTP account that will be used mainly for access to WordPress

3. Create the user and its login credentials, select the folder that you want to set a password to (i.e. the folder you want to restrict user access to)

4. Once created, you will be able to see the user in the FTP account section of your control panel.

5. Login to your website using an FTP file manager such as CuteFTP or Filezilla

6. Open the web.config file. This should be in your main website folder or the root directory for the site.

7. Enter the following code and save the web.config file
