Creating and restoring an image of hard disk with Clonezilla Print
Written by Administrator

Clonezilla is an open source disk imaging tool similar to Norton Ghost. It can create a complete image of the hardrive from the command prompt and restore a hardrive from the image.

It supports FAT, NTFS of MS Windows, ext2, ext3, ext4, reiserfs, xfs, jfs of GNU/Linux, and HFS+ of Mac OS. You can use it to clone single or multiple machines. It is more feature-rich than commercial Norton Ghost. Click here to see video tutorial,on how to create an image of a hard drive using Clonezilla live CD and restore a hard drive from an image. To learn more about clonezilla goto http://clonezilla.org and download clozezilla from http://clonezilla.org/downloads.php. Assuming that you have downloaded and burnt the CD, click here to see tutorial.

Two types of Clonezilla are available, Clonezilla live and Clonezilla SE (Server Edition). Clonezilla live is suitable for single machine backup and restore. While Clonezilla SE is for massive deployment, it can clone many (40 plus) computers simultaneously.
