Outlook password and Google Apps error Print

If you are experiencing a password error on Outlook connecting to your Google Apps, this may be caused by not allowing less secure apps to connect with your Google Apps account. It's may recommended to set this up at the Google Apps setup stage via Admin.

To fix the issue follow the below steps.

 

1 Login to your Admin account in Google Apps and click Security

 

 

2 Click Basic settings

 

 

3 Scroll to Less secure apps and click on Go to settings for less secure apps

 

 

4 Click the radio button for Enforce access to less secure apps for all users

-This option allow Outlook to connect to all users in the domain

 

Allow user to manage their access to less secure app

-This option allow on a user by user access level

 

 

Don't forget to Save
